How It Works
Each video, or, "Brickfilm" is made using a technique called "Stop Motion Animation". This time-consuming process involves taking a still photograph of an object, moving it slightly, taking another photo, and repeating the cycle. Once All the photos are strung together and played back at a very fast speed, it give the illusion of movement. I animate these videos at somewhere between 15 and 20 FPS (frames per second). As you can imagine, this means a good five minute long or so brickfilm can contain up to 2,000 photos (or frames) and take months to complete. |
